My story
I'm so happy you're here, and want to learn more about why I started all this - and how it can relate to helping you.
My passion is wellbeing. That of my clients, my family, my friends and myself. It's taken a while to get here, though, and as we all know, the road of life is not always easy.
How it started
Following the death of my father after his battle with the Big C, fertility issues and the premature arrival of our first child... let’s just say my own wellbeing was far from thriving.

After each blow, I'd brush myself down, try with all my might to be stronger, better, braver, more committed and work harder. Each time I fell, it got harder and harder to pick myself back up. I could no longer, for love or money, show up as the mother or the therapist that I wanted to be.
​
I tried many different approaches over the years, to help navigate the challenges that were thrown my way. Some things helped in the short term, but nothing provided the long-term scaffolding to support me with life’s ups and downs.
I needed something specific and bespoke.
​
I connected with a life coach and started to understand for the first time, that until I put my wellbeing first, I was on a one-way road to nowhere.

Attach your oxygen mask first
We have all heard this so many times, but how many of us got the privilege to observe our parents do this OR were shown how to do this in school? How many of us might know how important this is but are waiting for someone to permit us or to be railroaded by one of life's curveballs before putting wellbeing first?

Through coaching, I learned skills that resonated on a deeper, more meaningful level. CONNECTED with my values, ESTABLISHED some excellent tools and AFFIRMED ways to overcome the barriers and obstacles that arose—and permitted me to attach my oxygen mask first.
How it's going
From here, the Wellbeing Toolkit was born. It was developed using different models of practice that I had used with clients during my 18 years as a therapist, the knowledge gained through my obsession with personal development, and the skills I had developed through life coaching.

In the beginning, putting my wellbeing first felt very selfish. I remember comments from colleagues about how self-indulgent it all sounded. I felt ashamed, embarrassed, and weak for needing to prioritise myself. But now, I own this confidently and see it as a strength.
Prioritisng my wellbeing is no longer an option for me. It is essential. Essential for me to be a good mother, friend, therapist, sister, and daughter. Essential to provide meaning, purpose, and quality to this thing we call life.

The toolkit soon became more than a life saver just for me. I started to use it with clients, carers, and colleagues to support them in managing their loads, overcoming their challenges, and reaching their goals. Then, I completed a Wellbeing Life Coaching Course.
